Client: Talland Bay Beach Cafe

The Talland Bay Beach Cafe is located in a secluded bay and offers a take away service together with an extensive exterior seating area. We were asked to maximise the seating numbers, to improve both the customer experience and service space within the cafe. By relocating the main counter we were able to introduce an eating shelf with high stools and add a small retail offering. We introduced a picture window to allow those seated at the eating shelf to benefit from the fantastic views whilst enjoying their coffee. Using the same materials and colours to both inside and outside created a connection between the spaces.
We specified new furniture and accessories to the outside space and worked alongside a landscape architect to introduce curves and softer elements to the scheme. We provided additional sheltered seating in the form of beach huts allowing families and friends to gather and socialise undercover.
