Project: Victorian Terrace refurbishment
Location: Cardiff, Wales
This family Victorian terrace is nestled within the suburbs of Cardiff. Requiring a sympathetic transformation, it was important to keep the original features of the historic building and emphasis the original architecture. The design compliments the spaces with a responsive colour range, contrasting with contemporary fixtures and fittings. Neutrals and off-white colours were applied to the structure with rich chocolates and purples adding a depth and a strong identity through the furniture. The kitchen, lighting, fixtures and fittings specified, all have a simplistic engineered functional quality which sits alongside the sculptural forms. The original flooring was re-used, providing an authentic base to build upon.
