The Penny is a traditional Cornish pub sited on The Moor in Falmouth. The pub dates back to the mid 1700’s. The name Pennycomequick means “head of the creek” an old Celtic name for Falmouth. With all of its history, we wanted to retain the fabric of the buildings interior, helping to create a handmade craft feel, with a cosy, friendly atmosphere. We complimented the existing rustic aesthetic, adding in bold blocks of deep colour, classic styled seating and industrial lighting. Vintage and lived in furniture together with retro accessories, all added to the overall theme. The design of the interior provides an honest, well loved space, which the local community have embraced.
