Location: St Austell, Cornwall
We were asked to design a visitor experience to help reveal the secrets behind the award-winning brewing process. The now, Visit England accredited Visitor Centre, is designed with a new and interactive brewing experience and tasting bar at the centre. The bar has been constructed by adapting items found within the setting of the brewery and heritage pieces, salvaged from estate pubs, are incorporated into the design. A stained glass window, metal piping, checker plate flooring and reclaimed timbers are all utilised within the the finished design and additional salvaged industrial lighting sit above the copper bar top.
As part of the process we also re-designed the Hicks Bar and restaurant, which is next to the visitor centre to offer a complete customer experience. There is now the opportunity to soak up the Brewery’s history and learn more about the beer making process direct from the experts in a friendly and informal environment.
