Working with the South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, 3idog was tasked with crafting the interior designs for the new Trinity building as part of a substantial £150 million investment in local mental health services.
Embracing a co-design approach in partnership with the clinical teams at SWLSTG and all stakeholders, we prioritised space, light, and nature as our guiding principles for the interiors. The selected colour palette, soft in tone, echoes the hues found in nature, and the influence of nature is evident in the decor through a thoughtful combination of materials, colours, and lighting. This approach aims to foster a sense of a secure space conducive to mental healing.
In collaboration with Hospital Rooms, our efforts extended to integrating the positive impact of the arts throughout the interior. Carefully sequencing colour and imagery as one moves through the space, we achieved a harmonious fusion that seeks to redefine the experience of hospital environments for patients, service users, and staff alike
