Working with Smile Together we were asked to design the interiors of both the West Country Dental and Brighter Dental practice’s, which are located next to each other within the same historic Bodmin Grammar School.
The West Country Dental service is a practice primarily for NHS patients, some with complex needs. The interior space needed to have a simple yet stylish aesthetic, with well planned layouts, easy to navigate. On entering the dental centre it is important for the reception to be easily visible, so was located straight ahead of the entrance. The open plan waiting area is accessible to all of the surgeries and the overall design has a calm neutral palette, incorporating wooden effect vinyl flooring flowing through reception and into the treatment areas.
The brief of the second scheme for Brighter Dental was to create an experience for the patient similar to that of a high end hotel reception. This luxurious style was created using quality timbers, floor coverings and textured wallpapers. Italian lighting and furniture offered touches of elegance, to help the patients feel welcomed and comfortable. The interior was designed to match the quality of the service.
