Project: Gwelefan
Location: Porthtowan, Cornwall
Overlooking the village of Porthtowan, Gwelefan, is a new build home, built to take advantage of the far reaching views, whist discreetly concealing the spaces within.
The upper floor living spaces benefit from a full width balcony which helps connect the interior space to the exterior. The reverse level arrangement ensures that the spectacular views to the sea are maximised from the living and dining spaces. On the lower ground floor there are three bedrooms each have views of the coast and direct access to a south facing terrace and garden.
The interior design takes inspiration from the surrounding environment. A washed out minimal colour palette is complimented with bleached woods, plywood and light matt laminates. Colour is introduced through the furniture, artwork and soft furnishings.
