Client: Broadmead B&B
Location: Falmouth, Cornwall
The Broadmead is a beautiful Victorian villa overlooking Kimberley Park in Falmouth. We were asked to produce a fresh concept design, sensitive to the architecture of the hotel and in line with a new vision for the business whilst also appealing to the hotel’s current demographic who appreciate comfort and quality.
The new interior reflects Falmouth’s unique and transient community. Through collaboration with local businesses, the University and galleries, we showcased the creativity of the area through displaying local art, furniture, and crafts, all within the hotel. Focusing on the bedroom accommodation, we gave each room its own identity. We painted the rooms in bold colours, introducing bespoke lighting, furniture and textiles, which were provided by the local art community to create individuality. Each en-suite bathroom was refurbished to give a minimalist clean space contrasting to the main bedroom. We delivered a vibrant fresh scheme which was based on the portrait of Falmouth.
