St Enodoc Golf Club

Project Description

Client: St Enodoc Country and Golf club

Location: Rock, Cornwall

Enodoc Golf Club sits on the North Cornwall coast overlooking the Camel Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. We were commissioned by the member’s committee to design a new scheme for the existing club house to include the reception, bar and lounge. The aim of the project was to provide a stylish and elegant interior to match the reputation of the magnificent championship courses.

By introducing panelling, herringbone oak flooring, picture lighting and textured and striped wall papers, the decoration has a timeless and classic feel. The main reception is now a welcoming space, with leather high back chairs either side of the fireplace. The new reception desk mirrors the new bar design with slatted bleached timber and a granite top. We created a new secondary entrance with bespoke joinery cabinets displaying trophies and awards for the enjoyment of the members. A large upholstered bench in the centre of this space gives the members another place to socialise.

By removing structural elements we could open the space and using the same materials we connected the lounge to the bar. The newly designed bar curves towards the lounge and a mixture of velvet and leather seating gives the members a clear view to the 18th hole.
